Costamare has confirmed the scrap sale of two of its oldest vessels.
New York-listed Costamare says the 4,800-teu Mandraki and Mykonos (both built 1988) have been demolished.
While individual prices were not disclosed, Costamare says the sales led to an accounting gain of $1.5m.
The double disposal was included in the shipowner’s latest quarterly report, which revealed a new loan and 15 time charter contracts.
