Capital Product Partners is aiming to carry out vessel acquisitions from Evangelos Marinakis-controlled sponsor Capital Maritime this year, the containership and tanker owner's top executive said Tuesday.
Capital Product has access to 11 dropdown candidates owned by Capital Maritime, but chief executive Jerry Kalogiratos highlighted two aframax crude tanker newbuildings that are scheduled for delivery from South Korea's Daehan Shipbuilding this month and that already have five-year time charters attached and credit facility financing.
