Suezmax spot rates have taken a strong leap this week as new cargo offerings encountered a slim list of available tonnage.
The spike has seen WorldScale rates climb 33 points since Monday on the TD6 route from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean.
The Baltic Exchange's time charter equivalent rate for the TD6 surged to $30,900 per day today, an 84% jump in one day.
