Farstad Shipping has been awarded a long-term contract for one of its modern construction support vessels.
Total E&P Congo has hired the 9,200-dwt Far Sleipner (built 2015) for 18 months to support its subsea activities in Congo.
The contract will commence in the fourth quarter, and Total has six extension options of two months each.
Karl-Johan Bakken, chief executive of Farstad, said: “Over the last 18 months, Far Sleipner has developed very good relations with Total through the work performed on the MOHO North field development project in Congo.
