Indian owner Essar Shipping has decided to dispose of its older ships ahead of new vessels joining the fleet.
It said the board of directors had sanctioned the "sale of older vessel(s)", without giving further details.
Essar has three bulkers, including a capesize, built in the 1990s, as well as seven general cargoships and eight tugs from the same decade.
