India's Essar Shipping is plotting a range of acquisitions to boost its fleet for new charter opportunities.
It could buy a VLCC, a suezmax, an MR and a panamax bulker , according to CEO Ranjit Singh, who was quoted by the Hindu Business Line.
Some of the deals are subject to securing long-term charters, however.
Singh said this was the "ideal way" to expand tonnage.
