A major Singapore shipping research centre is teaming up with Denmark’s Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping to boost the sector’s eco efforts.
The Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) was set up last year by the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and six founding partners: BHP, BW Group, DNV Foundation, Eastern Pacific Shipping, Ocean Network Express and Sembcorp Marine.
