CNOOC Energy Development has selected Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co (CIMC SOE) to build an LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) in a deal worth CNY 441m ($69.2m).
The subsidiary of state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has commissioned the Jiangsu-based shipyard to build a single ship for delivery by July 2024.
Shipbuilding sources said at least five domestic shipyards participated in the CNOOC Energy newbuilding tender held in November.
