World Fuel Services has requested an order to arrest a bulker in New Orleans over a bunkers bill that has allegedly gone unpaid by Denmar Chartering and Trading for four years.
The US fuel supplier filed a lawsuit in a federal court targeting the 56,700-dwt AS Varesia (built 2011), which is owned by Germany's Ahrenkiel Steamship.
World Fuel alleges that it sold Denmar nearly 1,000 tonnes of bunkers for the ship in Singapore.
