Greece’s Eastern Mediterranean Maritime (Eastmed) has started 2018 the same way it finished last year: by expanding its fleet.
The Thanassis Martinos-led company confirmed the purchase of the 81,500-dwt Azalea Sky (built 2012) for $22.35m.
The Universal-built ship is currently listed under the ownership of Mitsubishi Corp.
Eastmed has been one of the busiest buyers on the sale and purchase for secondhand and resale ships last year.
