Greek owner Theodore Veniamis has bought his first ship in more than a year, snapping up a Japanese-built post-panamax.
His Golden Union company has emerged as the owner of the 93,500-dwt Houyo (built 2007).
Its previous Japanese principals quietly sold it on the sale-and-purchase market in mid-November, at a price believed to be between $14.1m and $14.8m.
At either end of the price range, it is a good deal for Veniamis.
