Vulcan Materials is said to have sold an elderly self-unloading bulker for recycling in India amid a demolition market that is seeing retrenchment from a recent spike.
Shipbrokers and cash buyers say the construction materials company, whose Vulica Shipping subsidiary is tied to a trio of self-unloaders, is selling the 60,600-dwt Bernardo Quintana A (built 1984) for about $392 per ldt.
