Thailand’s Double A Power lines up sale of its only capesize bulker

Thai energy producer Double A Power (DAP) appears to be scaling back its shipowning activities with the sale of its only capesize.

Brokers say DAP has been lining up a deal to sell its 172,000-dwt bulker NPS Century (built 2000).

The undisclosed buyer is said to be paying a very firm $12m for the Hyundai Heavy Industries-built ship, which VesselsValue estimates is worth just $8.7m.
