Brokers say Tech Project parted the 151,200-dwt Phoenix (built 1990) in a demolition deal worth an estimated $7.5m.
It is believed the unit, which was purchased as the Phenix for $10.8m in June of last year, will be recycled in India though delivery isn’t due until December, according to market sources.
The reported rate is approximately $13 lower than the $432 per ldt a cash buyerpaid
