Taiwan Navigation has confirmed it has sold two more in a series of veteran panamax sisterships to Chinese buyers for international and coastal trading.
Officials at the Taipei-based owner declined to name the price or identity of the buyers, other than to say they are two separate mainland-based companies.
Brokers in Europe and the US said the 73,100-dwt Tai Plenty (built 2000) was sold for a price in the very low $7m range.
