Lower freight rates pushed STX Pan Ocean to a bottom line loss of more than $35m or $0.32 per share through the third quarter.
The result means the diversified South Korean shipping group has rung up a loss of $62.8m through the first nine months of this year.
STX Pan Ocean made a third quarter profit of $42.8m in 2010 lifting the profit to $59.4m
