Star Bulk Carriers continues to clear out ships that were acquired in 2014 in the package to take over Excel Maritime in August 2014.
The 164,000-dwt bulker Star Eleonora (built 2001) has been sold for scrap with optional delivery for $345 per ldt or $7.8m.
In December, Star Bulk sold the 170,000-dwt Star Despoina (built 1999) for demolition and in August last year the 164,000-dwt Star Monisha (built 2001) went for recycling.
