Indian boxship owner Shreyas Shipping and Logistics has made its first foray into the breakbulk arena.
The Business Line daily cited a company official as saying the company has bought a multipurpose ship to carry products for steel maker Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL).
The vessel will transport cargoes from a plant at Visakhapatnam to Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kochi.
The contract specifies 225,000 tonnes a year in a deal worth INR 750m ($11.7m)
