In a statement the Monaco andManhattan-based IPO hopeful said the vessels will cost approximately $157m intotal.
Three of the 82,000-dwt resales, whichare on order at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, are scheduled for delivery in2015 and the other two are due in 2016.

Today, Scorpio Bulkers indicated it hascontracted to purchase 52 newbuildings to date. The total includes 28ultramaxes, 21 kamsarmaxes and three capesizes.
The vessels, which are underconstruction at shipyards in Japan, China and Romania, are scheduled to starthitting the water next year.
