Indian mine owner Anil V Salgaocar has failed in a bid to stop John Fredriksen’s Golden Ocean group fighting a dispute over a ten year charter deal that went wrong in England.
Salgaocar and his mining group are trying to stop the dispute being pursued in London and want the matter resolved in the Indian courts.
But Salgaocar Mining Industries and its controlling shareholder failed to convince London high court judge, Justice Christopher Clarke, that he should withdraw a previously granted permission for Golden Ocean to serve a massive damages claim on the defendants in Goa.
