The Paris MoU port state organisation has banned two elderly vessels for multiple detentions.
The 2,900-dwt general cargoship Alnilam (built 1977), owned by Turkey's Alnilam Shipping, has been barred from the region’s ports for three months.
Paris MoU said it was detained for the third time in two years at Rostov-on-Don in Russia on 8 October.
The Equasis database lists two other Russian detentions and one in Turkey already this year, with a total of 47 deficiencies.
