Lidkoping-based Pallas is taking the 4,452-dwt Tingo (built 1991) on adeal which comes with an option for a further 12 months.
The Sietas-built ship is currently undergoing an upgradethat will see fuel consumption slashed by around 25%, Pallas said in astatement.
It will be renamed Pallas River and the flag changed toGibraltar.
The vessel will be operated in the spot market by Gothenburg-basedOP Svensson Shipping which last week took on the Pallas Ocean under a similararrangement.
