Oldendorff Carriers has just completed a transshipment trial off India for Tata Steel and is already planning a second cargo transfer.
The German shipowner’s 75,053-dwt geared panamax Trina Oldendorff (built 2013) completed the transfer off Port Meadow in the Andaman Islands.
The ship, which had loaded 73,086t of coking coal from Gladstone, Australia, transshipped 25,000t of coal into the 58,000-dwt Spar Rigel (built 2010) for transport to the Indian port of Haldia.
