Star Bulk Carriers has raised $51.5m in a share sale to financial firms Oaktree Capital Management and Senator Investment Group.
The New York-listed bulker owner said that it sold 8.31 million new shares to the US outfits at a price of about $8.15 per share.
Petros Pappas-led Star Bulk said it will use proceeds from the deal, which will close in early February, for "general corporate purposes".
