Norden is hopeful of a return to the black in 2017 aided by an ongoing upturn in the dry cargo market.

The Danish owner is guiding for an adjusted loss of $20m to a profit of $40m this year, according to its annual report released today.

Jan Rindbo, chief executive of Norden, said: “In 2017, in dry cargo we will focus on taking advantage of expected improved markets and strengthening our operator activities, while in tankers we are focusing on positioning ourselves towards possible market improvements after 2017.”
