Danish owner Norden has signed a new 10-year deal with Empremar for the transport of road salt from Chile to the US east coast.
The new contract will begin in 2020, overlapping an existing contract that expires in 2022.
Michael Boetius, Norden's head of period tonnage & Industrial Bulk, said: “This is not just fulfilling the ambition of strengthening our ties with highly respected partners, but also a contract with voyages that optimises Norden’s existing business.
