Norden has completed a second round of bulker sales in quick succession after disposing of four handysize ships today.

Copenhagen-listed Norden is offloading the 32,000-dwt Nord Hong Kong, Nord Houston, Nord London and Nord Vancouver (all built 2011).

In a statement to investors the Danish owner said the deal will return an accounting loss of $18m.

It comes as Norden seeks to tighten its focus within dry cargo on supramax and panamax tonnage, with cash from today’s deal set to be reinvested in these areas.
