Korea Line Corp’s collapse has left Norden looking to find work for a supramax bulk carrier left in the lurch half way through a five-year charter.

The Dane is, however, confident that it will be able to deploy the 55,800-dwt Nord Maru elsewhere following the Korean operator’s decision to suspend payments in January.



The 2006-built vessel was fixed to KLC for five years at “attractive rates” before the charterer called a halt to all its payments as it filed for bankruptcy protection.
