New Vision Shipping of Greece has sold one of its three ships but is also buying an eight-year-old supramax in what appears a renewal of the company fleet.
Sources close to the shipowner confirm the company has sold the 53,000-dwt bulker New Era (built 2003) to the Akij Group of Bangladesh for $9.7m.
The price for the Iwagi Zosen-built ship is slightly higher than expected, although brokers describe it as a "steady" level.
