Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding Co has secured newbuilding orders for three post-panamax bulk carriers, the company has confirmed.
The trio of bulkers have all been ordered by the same shipowner. However, Mitsui declined to identify the customer or the price paid for the ships.
The 87,000-dwt ships will be built to a new design devised by the Japanese shipbuilder called ‘neo 87BC’.
