ESL Shipping’s two 26,000-dwt newbuildings, which are set for delivery from China’s Sinotrans & CSC Jinling Shipyard next year, will be the world’s largest LNG-fuelled bulkers.
Designed together with Deltamarin, the ice-class 1A Viikki and Haaga are costing €60m ($69.5m) in total against long-term employment to steel company SSAB.
ESL has financing totalling €50m from OP Corporate Bank.
