Cyprus-based LMZ Shipping is quietly expanding its fleet with kamsarmax bulker newbuildings.
The Greek-owned shipping company, which has not ordered newbuildings for over a decade, confirms it has two kamsarmax bulkers booked at China’s Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
Director George Bachos said LMZ signed up for one 82,000-dwt newbuilding with the Singapore-listed shipyard last December. Shipbuilding sources said this unit is scheduled for delivery in September 2019.
