In a statement the Nasdaq-quoted owner pointed out that Kurz will be joined by Edward Levy, the company’s president and chief executive.
The appointments follow the departure of Scott Bravener, who left Rand’s board but will continue to oversee affiliates Lower Lakes Towing and Lower Lakes Transportation.
Chairman Michael Lundin applauded the addition of Kurz, who serves as the vice president of Kinder Morgan Terminals, the parent of Jones Act product tanker owner American Petroleum Tankers.
