A US judge has ordered the sale of a NewLead Holdings bulker as part of the Greek shipowner's dispute with financial firms led by Ray Capital.
District Judge Randall Hall, of the US federal court in Savannah, Georgia, set an auction for 8 August for the 35,400-dwt bulker Newlead Castellano (built 2013), which has been seized in the dispute.
But NewLead spokeswoman Elisa Gerouki tells TradeWinds that there remains "a lot of ground to be covered" before any sale, which may not occur.
