Norway's JJ Ugland Group claims to have been fortunate so far in the timing of its fleet renewal deals.
In its just-released 2017 annual report for holding company Uglands Rederi, the Grimstad-based outfit says its results had been affected by challenging conditions in the bulker and offshore segments.
But the outfit adds “the firm is well positioned to regain ship values in an expected improved bulk market in the years ahead”.
