Lepta Shipping of Japan is believed to have returned to China for a capesize newbuilding.
It has placed a 180,000-dwt vessel at Jiangsu New Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, multiple European shipbrokers say.
Some believe the order now connected to Lepta is the single capesize that TradeWinds reported its parent Mitsui & Co to have inked at the shipyard as part of a larger series of ships earlier this month.
