The question of what justifies a shipowner withdrawing a vessel from a chartering deal has been before a London court.
It appears the requirement is quite high as Justice Christopher Clarke rejected the argument of Owneast Shipping, the legal owner of the 26,000-dwt bulk carrier Qatar Star (built 1991) that an arbitration award in favour of Qatar Navigation should be overturned.
