Pirates made four attempts to board a Greek bulker in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday, TradeWinds has learned.
The Piraeus-based operator of the 27,800-dwt Pagona (built 1999) is still on alert as the ship will not reach the relative safety of naval patrols in the Gulf of Aden for two days.
Razor wires, fire hoses and evasive manoeuvres were needed to thwart the assault on the open-hatch carrier at around 16:00 local time.
