Graig Shipping has placed an order worth close to $100m for four of its new Diamond II ultramax designs at Wuhu Shipyard in China.
The UK company placed the order in conjunction with what it describes as its “collaboration partner” — Jordan National Shipping Lines (JNSL) — which, it is understood, will be the end-user of the 63,000-dwt ships.
The pair have worked together in the past on newbuilding projects, ordering two 53,000-dwt bulkers at Vinashin Shipyard in 2006.
