Brokers have linked the John Fredriksen company to the purchase of the 180,000-dwt Lilac (built 2009), sistership to the Magnolia it bought in May.
But chief financial officer Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal told TradeWinds today that reports that it has added the vessel to its line-up for a fee of $35.3m are wide of the mark.
Online platform VesselsValue.com says the ship is worth $36.4m.
