In a statement Knightsbridge Shipping indicated the transaction involves 15 of its vessels but didn’t identify them by name.
The owner, which maintains bases in Bermuda and Norway, confirmed that the capes will be fixed to a subsidiary of German utility giant RWE, RWE Supply & Trading.
“The basis of the transaction is to employ the vessels on index-linked contracts,” the Nasdaq-quoted operator continued.
