Fafalios Shipping of Greece has emerged as the buyer of the Tsuneishi Shipbuilding-constructed, 82,000-dwt bulker Nord Venture (built 2009). The vessel was reported sold for more than $18m by Japanese interests to an undisclosed buyer earlier this month.
The price is regarded as firm.
Fafalios has not been very active in the market in recent years. In July last year, it sold the 65,000-dwt bulker Despina (built 1993) for scrap for just $278 per ldt, or $2.8m.
