Bulker shares were surging in New York Thursday as shipping equities generally pedalled in a positive direction despite an overall dip in broader stock indexes.
Nine shipping stocks were up by more than 10% in midday trading, though all stocks with very small market capitalisations. Of 72 US shipping, cruise and offshore vessel shares tracked by TradeWinds, 60 were in positive territory.
