Diana Shipping saw a 29% gain in the period market for one of its largest bulkers.
The New York-listed company says Koch Shipping will extend the charter on the 206,040- dwt Philadelphia (built 2012) for term lasting between 20 and 23 months.
The gross charter rate of $20,000 per day is better than the $15,500 per day Koch paid last year on a one-year hire.
