Diana Shipping has been handed a charter rate rise for one of its capesizes from Cargill at the same time as fixing a 2007-built panamax.
The Greek bulker owner said Cargill will extend the contract for the 177,243-dwt Baltimore (built 2005) for 13 to 16 months at a daily rate of $11,300.
Baltimore has been fixed to Cargill since last summer at a rate of $7,750 per day.
