LDH Energy has poached dry-bulk veteran Keith Denholm from Eagle Bulk Shipping to lead its new move into the shipping sector.
The Louis Dreyfus and JP Morgan's Highbridge joint-venture's plans are said to include buying ships as well as trading them - and not only in the drybulk sector.
Denholm, scion of the Scottish shipmanagement family, chose a career outside the family company, first distinguishing himself with 13 years' chartering work in the US before spending nearly a decade in Singapore as commercial director of Pacific Carriers Ltd (PCL).
