Cargill has fixed two kamsarmax bulkers controlled by Marine Management Services (MMS) of Greece for a year, plus an optional second year at higher rates.
The US agricultural giant hired the 82,000-dwt Trade Resource (built 2016) for $7,000 per day for the firm year.
It will pay $8,000 per day for the optional year, according to data from the Baltic Exchange.
