Capesize spot rates climbed above $10,000 per day for the first time this year but some market experts are warning that the spike will have a short run.
The Baltic Exchange’s assessment of average time-charter equivalent rates jumped 8.1% Thursday to reach nearly $10,200 per day. The rate is the highest level since 25 October and is 7.1% higher than this time last year.
