BW Group of Singapore has soared back into bulker ownership with a new venture picking up its first ship.
Shipbroking sources say BW Dry Cargo has snapped up the 82,000-dwt Meteor (built 2010) from Orion Bulkers.
A price of between $12m and $12.5m is understood to have been paid for the Oshima-built kamsarmax.
Christian Bonfils, who heads BW Dry Cargo, declined to comment on the speculation when contacted by TradeWinds this morning.
