The commoditiestrader hired the 82,600-dwt Caravos Harmonyfrom Iason Hellenic Shipping and the 82,200-dwtCaptain George from Athens-based compatriot Efnav, shipbrokers say.
The first unitwas chartered for five to seven months at a rate of $7,500 per day, accordingto a report issued by the Baltic Exchange.
The secondbulker is believed to have fetched $6,750 for a voyage from the East Coast ofSouth America to Singapore and Japan. Both trips are scheduled to start by the end of January.
Bunge was alsolinked to a charter involving the 87,000-dwt Annou GO (built 2007), which isdue to earn $8,000 daily in addition to a $390,000 ballast bonus for a voyage from Brazil to Skaw-CapePassero.
Earlier in theday, the company made TradeWinds headlines when it fixed the 98,704-dwt newbuilding Polymnia from DianaShipping in a period contract that included a daily rate of $7,600 through apartnership with Italian operator Augustea.
